HCC's Executive Team is currently planning events, workshops, consulting projects, and internships for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year!

As we learn more about the University of Calgary's guidelines for Fall 2020 in response to COVID-19, HCC is preparing for the possibility of delivering our events and programs remotely. We appreciate your ongoing support and patience during this uncertain time.

Fall 2019 Kick-Off

Take control of your career! Last year, we partnered up with firms including ATB Financial, McKinsey & Company, Borealis GeoPower, and more to bring students career-changing experiences with our pro-bono internships, consulting projects, and events. Join us in Cassio A & B on September 19, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:30 PM for our Fall 2019 Kick-Off to find out what HCC has in store for this year!

This event is open to all faculties and majors, and there will be free refreshments at the event.

Attendees

With 8 firms and over 100 people in attendance, Consulting Night was HCC's biggest event of of the year. We would like to thank Mercer, PwC, Pinnacle Accounting and Finance, CMC, and Stackd Consulting for sponsoring this event and sending out their representatives! Other firms in attendance included Accenture, Deloitte, and IBM.

We partnered with Stack'd Consulting, the Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, and Deloitte to provide students the opportunity to develop consulting skills while gaining valuable insight to a career in management consulting.

HCC partnered up with IBM to conduct a 5-hour design thinking workshop for our winter consulting project teams. With the guidance of IBM consultants, teams were tasked with finding innovative solutions to issues prevalent among varying demographics within the university.

Teams

HCC's competition was a 1-week take-home case that simulated a real-life business strategy consulting engagement. The competition was judged by representatives from 4 different firms. 17 teams entered the competition, with 8 of those teams making it into the finals.
